Mark Zuckerberg's obsession with his virtual world known as the Metaverse, threatens to drag his multi billion dollar empire into a vortex of doom. The real world apparently is not ready for corny virtual reality that can thrive only by sucking the last little bit of data from its participants. Technocrat dreams don't come true just because they say so.

Beware of billion dollar startup valuations in the Metaverse space. Analysts looking in are warning, "Anyone telling you that there's a metaverse today that has worked is lying through their teeth." Technocrat dreams and hard reality are two distinctive phenomenon. Thus far, the Metaverse is hot air and hype.
