China has grown as a Technocracy ever since Zbigniew Brzezinski took Chairman Deng Xiaoping under his wing in 1976. Twenty-four years later, in 2000, Time magazine recognized China as a Technocracy. Since then, China has exported its Technocratic web all over the world, which needs to stop calling China a Communist dictatorship. This misidentification prevents us from seeing the true nature of this enemy.

The race is on to capture the multi-trillion market for humanoid robots. General-purpose robots can be instantly repurposed for any task by AI. Personal robots, for instance, will cook your meals, clean your house, do your laundry, tutor your kids, drive your car, cut your grass, take care of your elderly parents, repair your plumbing, etc. Whereas an iPhone has many apps accessed from a single device, robots will free you from a single screen to invade the physical world. Tesla will likely set the standard with its Optimus model starting at $20-30,000.

Technocrats in China are leapfrogging the US with advanced humanoid robots. Created by Lenovo/CASBOT, "Wednesday" can perform almost any task that a human can do. As a base technology, it can be adapted to any scenario, including shop floor, office, household duties, nursing, elder care, police, and military.  

With AI and industrial robots cometh the humanoids. Elon Musk is in a race with China to see who will lead the world in mass production. Powered by AI, they will be super-capable to step into roles like caregiver, nanny, medical assistant, robocop, para-legal, sex surrogate and more. Technocrats build because they can, not because there is a moral or ethical mandate to do so. As such, they are on a trajectory to destroy what it means to be human.

750,000 robots working collaboratively with our employees" is pretty sobering, but Amazon is just getting started!  When it says it is "freeing employees up to better deliver for our customers," it means getting rid of them altogether. Like Marc Andreessen, Jeff Bezos is a Techno-Optimist and utterly unplugged from reality.
