Just an observation: At the hands of Technocrats, the US was stampeded into spending trillions to fight mythical global warming, principally to kill traditional energy sources. Now, the same crowd is stampeding the U.S. to spend trillions more to reverse field to go in the opposite direction. The common elements are "stampede" and "trillions." To quote Patrick Henry, "I smell a rat."
