For all the rhetoric to the contrary, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth has abandoned Free Speech and the First Amendment by running off reporters from the Pentagon. Hegseth is a Christian Nationalist and believes in Christian dominionism, which is a form of theocratic ideology that pushes Christian dominance over all spheres of public life. President Trump believes Hegseth is correct to muzzle the press because "the press is very dishonest."
