Fermi's Project Matador will be the largest AI datacenter in the world, consuming twice the power to run New York City in peak power season or five times the power to run the entire panhandle of Texas. The data center proper will be 60 acres under roof, but the whole supporting complex will cover thousands of acres, including nuclear generating plants, gas-fired turbines, solar fields, and water treatment plants.
