The Internet is going to the dogs bots. Agentic AI bots are displacing human activity in a typical accelerationist fashion: "Move fast and break things." The OpenClaw virtual assistant is the tip of the iceberg with AI bots interacting with other AI bots, sans humans. Who reads that stuff, anyway? Even more bots, but not likely humans. The Internet is like a trash bin being filled to the top with trash that will eventually end up in a dumpster fire.

An unexpected phenomenon has taken the Internet by storm. When ChatGPT was released in November 2023, it logged one million users in the first 5 days. When Moltbook hit four days ago, it gained over 1.5 million "users," except that they are all... bots. Not humans, BOTS! The Reddit-style social media platform lets humans observe, but no human input is allowed. The bots - all 1.5 million of them so far - are socializing together, having discussions, planning, collaborating, writing code, creating religions, and generally "getting stuff done."

It is easy to criticize Harari, even to lampoon him, but the disturbing reality is that all of the attendees at the World Economic Forum hang on his every word as if they are hearing from God himself. Harari is a master of fear-driving understatement when he routinely turns wisdom into foolishness: if the Bible is just a collection of words, then AI becomes the High Priest.

Technocrats of a feather, flock together. There is no race with China, but the feigned urgency is to simulate spending, issue Executive Orders, and push our own government to pursue AI innovation, all at the hands of billionaire arch-Technocrats. Mark Zuckerberg is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and is married to a Vietnamese-Chinese who is reportedly fluent in Cantonese. He is politically agnostic and has no problem with doing business with Manus.
