When you use the broad-brush word "Christianity", it can mean many things, from a Biblical fundamentalist to a Messianic cult; still, there is a meaning of Christ hidden somewhere in the dialogue.  Peter Thiel is parroting about Armageddon and the Antichrist, both Biblical topics, without any clear understanding of what he is talking about. Many TechBros are turning to mystical forms of Catholicism. Why the pivot to Christianity all of a sudden, and why not Buddhism or Hinduism? Perhaps the angle is the apocryphal nature of the impact of tech on the world.
