This is the first step toward their futuristic vision of conquering the universe with AI, tapping into the data flows to understand how it works. Hard-core space cult leaders include Elon Musk (who wants to colonize Mars with Technocracy), Eric Schmidt (member of the Trilateral Commission), and Jeff Bezos. Harvesting power from space using solar panels to beam it back to Earth and to power AI data centers in space seems to be the next logical step for these kooks.
