Transhuman

It was just a matter of time, but the U.S. has joined the club of super-eugenicists who want to take control over the human genome and hence, human evolution. Hijacking evolution has long been the major dream of  Transhumans. It is no surprise that OHSU is located in Portland, Oregon, where ethics, morality and common sense are quite uncommon. Note that almost all sponsoring organizations like OHSU are funded by taxpayers.

Social engineering pales in comparison to building brand new life forms, which is the Technocrat dream in this story. This is not just a slippery slope to ethical and moral oblivion, but more like a sheer cliff with rocks below.

Merging electronics with genetically modified living organisms is an event that will excite Transhumans who are looking for a human cyborg reality. Tinkering with fundamentals of life itself is a dangerous proposition, but Technocrats build because they can, not because it is smart to do so.

Already heavily embedded in Technocracy, China has zero ethical problems with using technology for any conceivable advantage to its own cause. Technocracy prepares society for scientific dictatorship while Transhumanism prepares humanity to live in a Technocracy.

Transhumans believe that science has advanced to the point where evolution can accelerated in order to re-create humanity in their own image. This makes for interesting science fiction but in reality is full of risks and unintended consequences.

Technocracy Elon Musk put his money where his mouth is and be the first human to go live on the planet Mars, and preferably soon. There is a sub-culture of Technocrats who are bent on escaping Earth.

The US-based company, Bioquark, could not conduct such experiments in the U.S., so it goes to a foreign country that won't stop them. Transhumans are on the edge of their seats with this crackpot experiment.

A new Columbia University study now shows that the use of CRISPR gene-editing technology can introduce 'hundreds of unintended mutations into the genome.' This is what even non-scientists concluded when CRISPR was originally introduced. Indeed, this is one of the most dangerous and misleading tools in the scientific world.
