It's a train wreck, and it will get much worse. American consumers should be enraged because they are forced to pay for ginormous data centers being constructed all over the country. Worse, the burgeoning power demand is stressing the power grid to its limit. Prices for oil, natural gas, and coal are historically low, reflecting the war on carbon. Ask any lineman if they think the grid is going to pop.
