Proof That AI Is Destroying Jobs In One Chart

The author is an optimist. I'm not. Eventually, the S&P will cease its ascent, but job openings will continue to decline. AI is not like tractors that replaced farmers, an irrelevant analogy. Tractors were not anti-human, and their manufacturers weren't lunatic disruptors trying to destroy the world. Arch-Technocrat Marc Andreessen last February predicted that "AI will crash wages" and hence, crash prices of all goods and services, bringing about Utopia. Really? A massively deflationary economic depression is Utopia? Yet, these are the idiots leading the charge to destroy humanity.

The ties to Charlie Kirk and Tucker Carlson will shock some readers. This odd story appears to be written by AI and probably by a competitor of OpenAI. This is not just a problem with OpenAI, but also with Grok, Meta, and the multiple companion apps circulating around. The problem stems from the collapse of reality, and it can strike anybody at any time. Sycophant responses from AI, coupled with sensory misalignment (seeing or hearing fakery), land people in a state of mental vertigo. When you cannot tell reality from a fence post, you are in the hands of the Rabbit in Alice in Wonderland.

AI certainly was used to balance the staffing, and undoubtedly will be used to generate the pink slips and send out the emails. This is the harbinger of things to come, and this has nothing to do with robots - that starts in 2026. Amazon intends to use AI and robots to fully automate its operations by 2030, potentially putting hundreds of thousands of people out of work. If technology fails to deliver, Amazon will find its smoldering carcass in the dumpster.
