One of today’s stories,UK Paves Way For Smart Meters To Directly Control Home Appliances, puts Smart Meters back in the headlights. I have written many stories on the plan for Smart Meters that supposedly only collected usage and wirelessly transmitted it to your utility for billing purposes.
They never told you the rest of the story. The Obama administration quietly pushed through a law requiring all major manufacturers to install a control circuit inside appliances that would “talk” to the smart meter on your home or business. This collects usage information but also gives the utility a kill-switch for the appliance in question.
Now England is the first nation to completely let the cat out of the bag. When an energy “emergency” is declared, thanks to all the idiotic green energy schemes, they will control your appliances directly to “balance the load”.
