Shame on Hawaii. After blaming global warming for the fires in Maui instead of their own mismanagement, now the government is going to punish tourists by slapping them with a carbon footprint tax - not merely lodging in hotels and vacation rentals, but cruise ships as well. At this rate, the government will be looking next to tax boat rentals, beach towels and tiki torches. Paradise lost!
