The Internet of Things (IoT) will connect billions of devices together, making the weakest ‘thing’ a gateway to the master network. Cyber Hackers are already salivating over the possibilities to raise havoc.

John Podesta and Eric Schmidt are both members of the elitist Trilateral Commission that promotes Technocracy. In typical Technocracy fashion, Schmidt declared, “For each voter, a score is computed ranking probability of the right vote. Analytics can model demographics, social factors and many other attributes of the needed voters.” This scoring idea is just like China’s social scoring of citizens to see who is for them and who is against them.
Whether complicit or ignorant, Congress routinely ignores intelligence overreach and abuse at the hands of hard-core Technocrats. Many whistle-blowers have been vilified and marginalized for raising alarms.
AT&T has been caught red-handed several times since 2003, then repeatedly slapped by Congress and courts, only to accelerate its illegal and unconstitutional spy program on U.S. citizens. This is the mind and style of Technocracy: hating all restraints because ‘science knows best’.
Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) is leading the charge in the Senate to block Obama’s intended giveaway of control over the Internet by the end of this year. ICANN is a Technocrat organization that controls domain names globally. Goran Marby, CEO of ICANN, testified that “We are a nonpolitical technical entity”, and therein lies the problem. Technocrats don’t care which master they serve because they are apolitical. They need political oversight and restriction. If we give up our role, they will just as gladly serve totalitarian interests elsewhere.
The largest tech firms naturally gravitate to a Technocrat mind and arbitrary, autocratic leadership styles. A de-centralized Internet would cede more control to these very companies like Facebook, Google, Twitter, etc. Google has recently been ‘busted’ for skewing search results for Hillary Clinton in order to impact voting results.
The authors peg this correctly: “But with centralised algorithms managing every facet of society, data-driven technocracy is threatening to overwhelm innovation and democracy.” However, they do not see the overall agenda of Technocracy in the first place.
Where there is a will, there is a way. Regardless of security measures that might be in place, there appears to be no electronic device in the world that cannot be hacked, whether smartphone, tablet, computer, mainframe or even government agencies.
All rhetoric aside about how this will benefit residents, recognize that this is a pure 100% exercise in Technocracy by Technocrats. First, the primary source of funding is the National Science Foundation (NSF), with additional funds coming from the Argonne National Laboratory (ANL, a government laboratory). Both organizations are saturated with Technocrats who aspire to run society as a “science of social engineering” project. Second, the hardware and software were both created at the Argonne National Laboratory. Thus, this is exclusively a government project.
You will have to read this complete story to see the perverseness of what Facebook has done to undermine essential privacy firewalls. We have stated many time that Technocrats do stuff simply because they can, not because it is right or necessary.
